We serve the entire continuum of care with a diverse membership of skilled nursing facilities, intermediate care facilities, assisted living facilities, residential care facilities, adult day care, home health and hospice.
Our Business Partners consist of businesses, firms and organizations that supply goods and/or services toward the advancement of excellence and quality in the long-term care industry. MHCA is affiliated with the American Health Care Association, which is the largest and most powerful long term care advocacy group in Washington, DC.

Established in 1949, The Missouri Health Care Association is Missouri’s largest association of licensed, long-term health care facilities, residential care facilities and assisted living facilities in Missouri. The Missouri Health Care Association is dedicated to improving quality of life for the residents of long-term care.
With 300+ facility members, MHCA represents over sixty-five percent of Missouri’s licensed skilled nursing care facilities along with many residential care and assisted living facilities. There are also over 150 health care related businesses and organizations that are business partner members of MHCA; they contribute greatly to the success of this association.
Healthcare professionals have associated themselves because collective action is more effective, efficient and productive than individual efforts. These collective efforts are directed toward delivering excellence in the healthcare profession and improving the quality and dignity of life of their residents.
The Missouri Health Care Association maintains a professional full-time staff in Jefferson City, Missouri, who coordinate and carry out the policies of the governing body. MHCA is a non-profit trade association supported by membership dues, educational program fees, sponsorships and other services.
The ability to understand the issues, anticipate change and deal with them effectively is the mark of a successful association. The unending support of its membership is vital.
